The SCTC education and training program is a real-time,
live-in, on-site, yearly study format.
Students are immersed in a full time space colony
environment, living onboard the simulated space station and
remote research bases on the moon and Mars.
Students are working crew members of the facility and
receive a “systems education” and training in a hands-on
fashion. Student
crew members train in the following three areas (systems) of
colony life: GOVERNANCE; HEALTH & WELLNESS; and
INFRASTRUCTURE. In
one year each student crew member will do a four month
rotation in each of these areas.
Programs are offered from one to four year modules.
Shorter term options are also available but do not lead
to certification.
Full-time, full-term student crew members
will become experienced and accomplished in CCI; the
Quadra-L’s; and PESECE.
CCI is an index that stands for Collective Colony
Intellect. This
index is a measure of a colonies ability to survive in crisis. It is the number of colonists it takes, selected at random,
to solve any crisis to a survivable status.
This is a measure of the success of a students
“systems education”.
Having a working knowledge of all the colony systems is
essential.
Quadra-L’s stands for Lifelong Leisure
Learning Lifestyle. Student
crew members are required to take proctored distance learning
courses in their leisure time.
Leisure time learning is essential to maintaining a low
CCI index over time. Students
will practice low stress leisure learning so it may become an
inevitable lifestyle.
PESECE is the “pesky” problem of long
duration space flight which is the Psychological Effects of
the Separation from Earth in Confined Environments.
Full-term, two-year and four-year, student crew will
gain significant experience with long-term earth separation in
confined environments by their participation in real-time
missions to the moon and Mars remote research bases while they
continue their course work.
